Structure of MRCPch Exams:

Candidates must pass the three theoretical exams before they can proceed to take the MRCPCH clinical exam.

Exam Components:

The examination comprises two parts: the theoretical and practical sections.

Pediatric trainees in the United Kingdom are required to take these exams as part of their training.

Pediatricians worldwide increasingly take the MRCPCH exam to demonstrate their practice standards or as part of their local training.

Training Period:

The exam is administered during the core specialty training period.

This training period typically spans two to three years in the United Kingdom.

It has replaced the Royal College of Physicians' Membership exam for Pediatrics (MRCP) since June 1999.

The exam is divided into four sections.
